Object: still here
and doing much better.
parnate's finally working for my depression, though we're still
tweaking the dosage. i also found out that they're using it to
help ms patients, and it's done miracles for my strength with my
mg. first time in 5 years that i'm going up the stairs without
even using a railing for support!
i'm also in pt for my back, which was still giving me trouble
since the car accident. i had a stupid fall last weekend, but
they say they'll get me back to where i was quickly. the pt's a
very good thing, not only for my back, but also to strengthen
muscles that haven't had much use in the past 5 years.
i should be back to asd regularly soon. joe's trying to get my
desktop back up and running again, since it was scavenged over
time. the laptop's set up for use in bed and i'm sick of lying
down after years of being stuck here! and don't even suggest
moving the laptop- you should see all the cables and peripherals
that have grown around it over the years! it's easier to just
rebuild the desktop machine. that and i'm afraid of jinxing
this remission...

Lisa, I'm so glad you are doing so well. I just had a hunch that this was
gonna work for you. I was hoping that your not being around much lately was
a good thing. And I'm glad to know that indeed it was.
You go, girl!!!!

Sorry to piggyback, but I don't have the original post anymore.
Lisa, it is so good to hear such good news! I've heard that some
people who do the whole med roller-coaster without finding something
that works, finally find success with MAOIs. I'm glad you've found
something that not only helps the depression, but is allowing you to
cope with your physical problems as well. This is wonderful!

Parnate, huh? Don't find many people using it, but I'm glad to hear
it's working for you.

not many people take it, mostly because of the stiff dietary
restrictions. i did read that they're starting to use it for ms,
though.

If Parnate works well for you, but you have difficulty with the
dietary issues, you might try the EMSAM (selegiline) skin patch when
it (hopefully) comes out in a few months. It won't have any dietary
restrictions, because the MAOI doesn't go through the digestive tract.

This was perfectly marvelous to hear! Thanks. For my part, I'm going
to bring my wife home from the hospital tomorrow morning. She's doing
so well with the new hip a marvelous doctor installed Monday that the
hospital filmed her walking up and down the hall today. She's a doll.
