Object: Strange keyboard facts and a hello...
Hi,
Just in case you were wondering....
The E key gets depressed the most.
And the lucky keys Q,Z and X hardly ever get depressed.
Really, I just wanted to say hi, and hope everyone's going okay.
Since leaving here (maybe 3 years ago) I re-married and have been
working part-time most of the time. So, life does go on....
Our Labrador had 10 pups 3 weeks ago and we've been busy looking after
them. Actually, I'm supposed to be computer programming to a deadline
but procrastination set in.... and here I am. :)
Maybe I should visit alt.support.procrastination (if there is one? well,
maybe one day I'll visit there, if I get around to it)
Strangely, I recognise just about all the names here... you're meant be
recovering guys! Never mind, everyone in their own good time. Keep
moving!
Best wishes, love to all!
Brother John
PS. (I'm still narcissistic, some things don't cure easily :)

Hello Missy!
How's it going!? Long time! Its good to see you too. Hope things are
going well for you.
Its amazing how many people have been posting here for so long. I see a
lot of names from the past. Even % is still posting about his thingy...
Like they say, its nice to be in a place where everyone knows your name.
Actually, maybe not... I lived in a small country town when I was a kid,
and well, you know how it can be... everyone knows your name... everyone
gets a little too close for comfort... like a near miss with an asteroid.
The point is I guess that people wouldn't hang around in ASD if they
didn't feel comfortable here. Which is why people hang out here.
I think I thunk myself into a circle. Whatever!
Best wishes,
Ross

BTW, an interesting and little known fact - noone ever said that to the
invisible man.
And that's for two reasons...
1) His name was not Brother John.
2) Even Blind Freddy could see that he was invisible.
That's all I have to say about that.

Once, one of my shift keys got stuck in a permanently depressed state.
Nothing could coax it back to normal. I tried bashing it... told it to
snap out of it... I got p'ed off because everyone I emailed thought I
was SHOUTING at them.
And when you try to type numbers (like 12345) people think you're
swearing at them coz it comes out like:
THE TRAINING COURSE COST !@#$% DOLLARS. IF POSSIBLE CAN YOU SEND ME A
$#% DOLLAR REFUND AS I AM A STUDENT. MY STUDENT ID IS %$%@&.
I thought about starting a new TV show called "When keyboards turn bad..."
:)

Hello :)) I don't think I was posting when you were here last.

You were one of the lucky ones. :)
Nice to meet you.

You would think the delete key would get depressed the most :).
I do a lot of work on the computer and my brother does computer
programming for a living. Hope you can find a way to get it done.
Welcome to asd.

Hi David,
Yeah, the delete key and spacebar both. It just shows that Wikipedia is
not to be trusted. That was the source of my statistics.
I'm just visiting ASD, wanted to say hello... its kinda like Monopoly
when you land on Jail and you say "I'm Just Visiting" or "Pheeww! I've
got a Get Out of Jail Free card!".
I hope the computer is good to you and your brother. Computers can be a
real source of stress when they decide to turn against you.
Nice to meet you David

Hey there stranger :) I have often wondered how you were getting on.
Congratulations on your wedding and puppies and everything! Seems like
you are doing well and I am so genuinely pleased for you. :)

Thanks! Yes, things are pretty normal... I was fortunate to find my way
home. Don't get me wrong, I'm recovered but still have to remain
vigilant to avoid triggers (like sad music or nostalgic thoughts or too
much stress). In other words, a bit of self management is required. But
then, I think that's 'normal' for just about every 'normal' human being.
So I guess, normally, I'm 'normal'.
I wish I could post some pics of the pups. They are adorable. They're
all golden labs, 6 boys and 4 girls. We plan to keep one girl, and find
good homes for the rest.
My wife is also adorable. I plan to keep her too. :)
We had our 2nd anniversary in Jan this year. Its funny. We were friends
for several years before we became romantically attached. She was a
friend of my best friend, and we all used to go out on the town
together. She and I went swimming to get fit. Then we all went to the
movies and saw Shallow Hal. Later, we admitted to each other that
something clicked at the movie, even though nothing happened at the
movie. Funny how things happen (or don't happen) like that, at the
movies. Its like in the movies. :)
And how about you Gxxxx? I've wondered how you were going too. You're
too nice a person to be hanging around with this ASD riff-raff. (Joking)
But its true, you were always very supportive. Thankyou for being there
(or here) :). You helped me a lot.
And I don't believe you're a narcissist even though you claim you are.
Imho, true narcissists like everyone to think they're the only
narcissist in town. And you never minded me being a narcissist so
therefore you mustn't be one. :) Whatever!
Well, I trust you will take good care of yourself, and don't worry, coz
things seem to have a way of working out in the long run.
Hugs and Best wishes,
Ross
