So often we look for symbolism in everything... words, voices,
images, memories, events... why is it that the more nervous we are,
the more we think in a melodramatic, "events" oriented way... maybe a
helpful thing to work on is trying to find the connetions between
things... to see things in a more "moments" oriented way... words,
voices, images, shapes, memories, colors, sounds... all these things
are related to each other, aren't they?

only in that they all exist in your mind.
