why is that we look for symbolism and signifigance in everything?
words, voices, images, memories, events?perhaps, one idea that is
important to remember is that you can look for the aspects where
everything is connected... If one word, voice, images, memory can be
symbolic, I guess everything can be...

Finding relationships between things is just built into our nervous system.
Science and superstition actually have the same roots.

Just like "intelligent design". It's the desire to impose a design on
the cosmos and regard said design as intelligent.

And it is only intelligent if it is intelligent. If the design of the
cosmos isn't intelligent, then it is downright stupid for giving human
beings such an imagination.

why is it that the more nervous we are, the more we look for
symbolism in everything? words, voices, images, memories, events,
opinions... these start to have hidden meanings, and become more
important... the more relaxed we are, the more we can think about
"moments" instead of "events", and we can focus more on what
everything has in common...
I notice that I tend to look for symbolism at times, in
words,conversations,voices,images,events,memories... What I want to
work on is focusing more on individual moments... that's what's really
is important...
One thing I've noticed is that the more nervous and anxious I am,the
more I look for symbolism in
everything...words,voices,images,memories,actions,interactions,events....therefore,what
I've been thinking about lately is,I can try to see things from the
opposite point of view...I can try to let go of symbolism and focus on
how everything is part of an infinite continuum...for example,if one
building is symbolic, every building,I guess would have to be
symbolic...If one automobile is symbolic, then every automobile would
have to be symbolic...but can anything be more or less symbolic then
anything else?the same,I imagine applies for everything else...I figure
that if the more anxious I am,the more I look for symbolism, maybe the
less anxious I am,the more I can focus on and remember how everything
is part of an infinite continuum...
