Thank you much (disab act) |
didn't mean to cause an arguement over asking for help
usally I'm good at researching things online, but in middle if
grief....my T said the lack of concentration and muddled thinking is
normal...thats why I asked for help, couldn't begin to do it myself
thank you all, saved all the links, need paper to print them up
Denise, housing mang. loves to kick out ppl that disagree w/her, so I'm
high on her list and she's knows I don't have any housing options, hell
she all illegally broke in when I had the bolt lock thrown, makes me
feel real safe when I'm sleeping....there's no way to keep her out

I would check the housing laws about this. In these parts, they have to
give me 24 hours notice in *writing* before coming into my apartment and if
they violate that law they can be charged. Tenant protection laws here are
strictly enforced. You have the right to feel safe in your own home
regardless of who owns it and this Denise person shouldn't be allowed to get
away with this.

I agree. Most states, I would assume, have similar laws. Even hotels fall
under those laws - once you have paid for the room, or apartment, it is
just like a privately owned home in most respects.
In Wisconsin what that property manager did would be called "Breaking and
entering" and can be charged as a felony if no notice was given.
Denise is lucky she isn't my property manager. If I'm in my bedroom and
hear my door getting kicked in, I'm coming out with a pistol.

I hadn't considered that, but you're right, a lot of people might greet her
with a gun. A property manager would have to be a little nuts to take a
risk like that.

I agree with both of these; check out your state and local laws.
Landlorniks and managerapparchiks like to ignore laws and
intimidate ppl.

You ought to contact your local HUD office. I live in a HUD building
and this place is full of pets! Long as they're within the rules of
the lease, they're _encouraged_. The only time someone gets in trouble
is by bringing in a dog over 25 lbs..
