For your words of support. My Grandfather passed away this
afternoon. He hung on for days when the medical profession
couldn't believe that he would and that's my granddad for you! It
is a great relief to those that love him. I was there and it was
a shock, but a small one. He is with Nana...

I too will send my condolences.
The "anniversary" of my father's death was yesterday. Perhaps in the
great yonder he helped him setup a usenet account to lurk.

I'm both sorry and relieved for you, Glenn.
Sorry, because it is always sad to lose someone you love. Relieved, because by
your account, your granddad was suffering.
Your grandfather may be gone, but I think as time passes you and your family
will find that he is always still there in spirit, in the love your family
shares, in the values that he taught you and your sons, in the stories that you
tell one another about his life.
