the best thing |
when i am feeling really crappy like lately is to crawl into bed where
it's soft and warm with a familiar movie on the tv. the dogs jump up
and settle down against me. the cats come and claim their spots. i had
four cats and two dogs in bed the other night. it feels so secure and
safe.
adopting these dogs was the best decision i ever made.

My dogs are such a comfort to me. I always feel sorry for anyone who
does not know the love of a good dog.
I am happy for you, elegy, that you had the wisdom and heart to adopt
your dogs.

thanks bobbie. i thought for years and years that i was a cat person
but i think i had just not met the right dog.

they'll keep me safe and they keep me warm and they love me
shamelessly even when i suck. dogs are awesome. i do have to keep the
cats around though just to keep me humble.
