Is it online -- or should I open the window?

Opening the window is probably greener

Geez, it's funny how thought processes
work. I read "greener" and literally had
a flasback to a job interview I had with
Greenpeace once upon a time. A 4-hour
interview with 8 of 'em, during which
they fought a lot with each other about
whether or not I was from an entirely
different culture and, thus, unsuitable.
Suitability was an issue because I wore
a suit to the interview, you see, after
much deliberation. It was a public
relations gig and I figgered that the
minds they should want to change were
probably dressing the way I dressed for
the interview.
Half of them thought I was absolutely
right and the others, well, they didn't.
We did have a spirited, if most bizarre,
debate. When the vote swung in my favor,
though, I had to say 'no, thanks' as
gently as possible. The dealbreaker was
that everyone had to spend 6 months on
one of the boats every 2 years.
Anyways. Greener = good. Bulldozers and
eastern block housing = bad. We can all
agree on that. Maybe.

Well, may their descendants be the first
to freeze. Or boil with that global
warming thing. Or drown when the oceans
rise. It's only fair.
