Y'all: You-all (can be used as singular or plural)

you got that right. (or should i say "ya'll" got that right?)

Croker sack: Burlap sack

have never heard this one.

Snake feeder: Dragonfly

or this one.

Mosquito hawk: Dragonfly

or this one.

Snap beans: Green beans

i think they are also often referred to as pole beans, but i could be wrong.

Light bread: White bread

fattening, but tasty.

Flitter: Pancake

never heard of a flitter, but i sure do enjoy a good pancake.

Corn dodgers: Hushpuppies

never heard of a corn dodger either, but i do love hushpuppies. especially
made up in a beer batter. yum, yum.

Pulleybone: Wishbone

either way works for me.

Polecat: Skunk

polekitty, actually.

Cold drink: Soda pop

coke. always. no matter what variety of soft drink it is, you just call it
"coke."

Tank: Pond

i prefer a lake, myself.

Dinner on the ground: Potluck dinner

i like 'em both.

I grew up saying y'all up North.
->Croker sack: Burlap sack
Never heard this. Anywhere.
->Snake feeder: Dragonfly
Ditto.
->Mosquito hawk: Dragonfly
Ditto.
->Snap beans: Green beans
I've heard this one used a lot.
->Light bread: White bread
Never heard this.
->Flitter: Pancake
Some people here call 'em flapjacks, most call 'em pancakes.
->Corn dodgers: Hushpuppies
May have heard this once or twice.
->Pulleybone: Wishbone
Nuh-uh. Who says this?
->Polecat: Skunk
Heard a few times.
->Cold drink: Soda pop
True in some areas. Some folks say Co'Cola. Around here, it's either
Coke or soda. I had to get used to it, in Chicago everyone says
"pop". One of the main grocery chains, Jewel, even has a house-brand
called Red Pop. Geez, I miss that stuff. And Jays potato chips.
Loaded with salt, greasy as all hell, irresistible. But anyway...
->Tank: Pond
Huh?
->Dinner on the ground: Potluck dinner
You gotta be kidding.
