The Jungian thing, sir.
Driving home tonight, thinking about how shitty so many people are, how
just nasty & brutishly selfish some people are. Any hint of just
pleasantness and simple decency is greeted with sneers and sarcasm and
stomped on.
Then I get in and Timmy knocked down a CD. It's a CD someone sent me
last summer from a computer newsgroup, a program I needed to get my time
card program started. This guy worked with me over several emails, and
then mailed this to my home, just to be nice. I thanked him profusely
in email, don't even remember the guy's name now.

What I try to remember when I'm feeling paticularly cynical is how
many warm, friendly, caring people there are...
they may not be that way all of the time, but sometimes a stranger
being warm and friendly to you can completly make your day... and
there are a lot of people like that, whether you see them in person,
or talk with them on the phone...

Exactly! personally just one act of kindness can dispel a hundred
nasty acts in my mind.
I like to remember good things people have done & not dwell on the
negatives - I'm sure this helped me, in part, to get over my
depression.
Have a great day kiddo
