Yea, WW2 is probably 80% of what they cover. I imagine it's because the
network's demographics (the History Channel doesn't have a 2AM show full
of profanity to avoid the censorship rules and get the drunk college
student audience). It was also a war where the bad guy is a *really* bad
guy. First war with a ton of video footage, and many years of it.
