The Life of Pi |
A very good read. Starts out slow ..and I almost did not continue on with
it.
But then it took a huge shift .. and BLAM what a story. It won the Booker
... I can see why.

What sort of genre? Horror, psychological thriller, history?

Hard to say exactly. It is about a boy who is in a shipwreck and has to
survive on his own in a lifeboat. A psychological thriller yes .. but with a
tiger involved.

I'm not sure how to describe it. Call it a first-person narrative
of a real-life adventure, a boy who survives a shipwreck and how
he manages to return to civilization.
But it's also a deeply philosophical book, although the
philosophy is cleverly disguised.
