The new antidepressant isn't working |
x-no-archive: yes
Now, after switching from Lexapro to a tricyclic antidepressant, I feel as
depressed as I did when I wasn't taking any antidepressant at all. :(

The only effect TCAs had on me was that I fell over if I stood up
quickly, and I flew into violent rages at nothing.

just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?

i felt awful when a rheumatologist put me on a tricyclic. my
pdoc said he knew it would enhance my depression. i wished he'd
warned me.

They're supposed to be as effective as SSRIs, but cheaper, unadvertised,
and dangerous in overdose. We've had people here who swear by them.

i did ok on tca's in high school, except when i intentionally
od'd. i can't tolerate them anymore, though. then, ssri's do
nothing for me.

:-( is right. I hate the trials and non-effect.
Wellbutrin did nothing at all (except make my hands
feel grubby).
The only effect TCAs had on me was that I fell over if I

Huh.
i felt awful when a rheumatologist put me on a tricyclic. my
pdoc said he knew it would enhance my depression. i wished he'd

Well, so do I. And I'm wondering what basis he had for that
prediction. (Did the rheumatologist Rx it for peripheral pain?
Tricyclics can reduce that, sometimes permanently)

but the edge is still Out there. Or maybe it's In... HST (1967)
when i got to the edge , i built a deck % (2005)

That's because anti-depressents aren't effective when someone isn't
trying to correct their thought processes as well.
