The Professional |
I haven't seen my brother Fern for, what is it? 20 years now? It
doesn't bother me that he still walks on his toes and answers to the
name: "Dinkasaurus." Nor am I especially proturbed that he always
flips his nose with his fingers for drum roll sound effects... Or even
that he's always pinching himself and really getting into it! That
he's so phat, he always beeps his horn getting out of his expertly
pondered, first combo vehical & garbage collector is just tolerable
but always annoying to him who then proceeds to pinch himself and kick
his tires, and to whomever is watching, he does seem to look like a
man with a problem...
The day he got his new Ricco camera, we all had to sit around for
hours listening to the necessity for f stops illustrated with one hand
while he juggles his nuts with the other! Any squirrel will tell you
it just comes naturally to him; as does conducting The Philharmonic
Ochestra at 9000 decibels in mixed company! Case in point:
Eight friends are sitting on the couch. Suddenly Fern emerges from his
cave to proove how he can use his new Ricco camera to take a picture
of himself with a new gizmo called: a timer... So he carefully
positions it to where he thinks he's going to be in the kitchen. He
must've not considered the over-head cupboards cuz he ran over,
whacked his head and held it in excrusiating pain just as the picture
snapped. Well we all roared in hysterics!
Any real Comedian would have taken a bow. Not Fern! He's a:
"Professional!" He chose instead to pinch his side and stomp out of
the room on his toes like a Dinkasaurus mumbling: "f**k you all!"
under his breath which of corpse just made us laugh even more! Do I
miss him? Why should I? He doesn't need me! He's a Professional!
