i've got some catnip going, plus 4 different kinds of grass for our
cats.............
I'm thinking of picking up some tomato starts, and maybe a flower or
two............
I kinda miss taking care of a garden, both flower and veggie, but depending
on the size, it can be alot of work, and I think this summer I'll try to
take it a bit easy, have plans to take some weekend trips and such (SanJuan
Islands, for one)
And then afterwards comes fall and school, I'll bet my summer goes
quickly..........sure feels good on the ol' bones, though
ya know, I've been thinking I'll go ahead and start school FT, if a person
was going PT and they can switch to FT at the quarter change, why wouldn't
it work the other way, too? (just in case my brain won't store it all
properly, I'll probably do alright, provided I do all the work and reading
and lessons and such but it's been so dang long since I was in school, it
makes me nervous)
anyways, thanks Purple Veggie, you've inspired me, like my dad used to tell
me (he had a green thumb and loved planting in the spring), even a few
flowers to brighten up the place is good...........and I know from my
experience in caring for plants, it does something really good for the
heart/soul/spirit.........!
maybe some delphinium or larkspur, for starters eh!
I'm almost tempted to plant cherry tomatoes, but I'm tempted by the roma's,
as well...........
I love salad but it's also good to have fresh sliced tomato on a sandwich,
too...........
boy, nothing like them home grown 'mators! ; )
justa

My wife planted things at the weekend. Sweet peas - my father always
planted them at Easter - and plum tomatoes in a sheltered spot. I don't
suppose they'll survive, but it'll be good if they get a head start.
Mostly perennials. I don't have the energy to even look.

The opinions given above may be mine. They might also
just be what I feel like saying right now, okay?

No but I walk past the "greenest block in Brooklyn" fairly often.
Decorative plants.
What are the purple veggies? Eggplant? Onions?
My wife planted things at the weekend.
I keep thinking about getting an aspidistra. If
they survive in lobbies they survive here.
