The snow is kinda pretty. |
It has a nice cleansing effect on everything. About a foot worth of
cleansing at the moment. I went out and took some pictures of it and
nearly froze my hands. Maybe everyone will skip work and school
tomorrow and just leave the snow looking quiet and peaceful. That'd be
cool.
I remember once when I was living in Pittsburgh it snowed 2 feet
overnight. Everything was shut down. Buses. Schools. Even the
University. My friend and I packed some snacks, layered up and walked
downtown to see what it looked like. It took all day and all evening
to get there and back but it was worth it. The big city completely
deserted under 2 feet of snow. It was surreal.

to have to get through to somewhere, but if your power is not cut off
and you can stay inside, it *does* produce a rare quietness in the
surrounding world.
