Object: The State of the Union
I just saw on CNN that FEMA parked over 11,000 mobile homes in a big field of
mud and they're SINKING into it and will likely need to be disposed of.
Then there's ***** Cheney mistaking a 78 year old for a small bird that makes a
whirrrrrr sound. Oh, and waiting until the next day to report it. I wonder if
he was loaded at the time? He's got two dui's, after all.
I'm fine with it, it makes the daily show even better.

The thing I totally can't believe about this is not that he shot the
guy... I'm perfectly willing to believe that weird accidents happen
and that it may actually have been the other guy's fault... but whose
bright idea was it to not report it? Like there's ANY chance that it

Yes, in fact every nobody caught so far has gotten only a warning. The
requirement for the new stamp is only five months old and apparently the
state did a poor job of notifying the public of its existence.

I wonder if out of the corner of his eye Cheney thought he saw a

No, it was a hunting accident. You dems are hilarious. You worship the

Old news is right -- wasn't it 40 years ago? Invoking Chappaquiddick is an
attempt to steer the discussion away from the fact that our vice president
shot a man less than a week ago. No one in this discussion has implied
that it was anything but an accident, but still, a public apology seems to

An intentional cover up of a murder is never old news...
As for Cheney, there is no need to change the discussion away from the
facts, which have been revealed. A public apology for what? He didn't
shoot the public.
He has already apologized to the man who was shot. It really isn't any of

No, drowning isn't murder. Driving drunk off of a bridge and leaving your
pregnant passenger under water to fend for herself is murder. Waiting more
than twelve hours to even tip off the police is inexcusable.

How do you know Teddy didn't apologize?

I don't care if he did. I wouldn't care much if Charles Manson apologized

The dynamic is the same. The only reason people wanted to know was so they
could gloat. Although in this case the event truly doesn't effect the
running of the country in any way, shape, or form. Clinton, on the other

Newsworthy, possibly, in a prurient way. He simply doesn't have any
obligation to speak to the media about it when it is quite clear that the
media's interest is to put him in the worst light possible.
