Good morning. It's 9:30 am and i haven't been to bed yet. Can barely
see the keyboard. Just drank cranberry, though.
Had fun last night, I mentioned it in other replies to you. Saw 'The
Man" play his guitar.
He's still got it.

This morning, when you said 'maybe he should take his meds', I thought
you were referring to something totally different, and I thought you
were not talking about JW, I thought you were razzing me ,about me
talking to someone else in a different thread , elsewhere, about meds.
I thought you were saying to me, 'not everyone needs psych meds....'
I now realize that I was way out in left field thinking that (that
thinking made me say, "Ok, I'll shut up.") Now I see you were actually
making a funny, if he'd 'still got it', like I said he did (playing
good), he should take his meds.

too close to some truths about family
dynamics when I was a kid and really hit
a nerve.

Chatting with you often helps me to feel
more grounded so, yeah, I'm ok now. I
think what caused it was that the
temperature in my bedroom dropped to the
mid 40s because it's a poorly heated
room. I woke up at 3 am almost
hyperthermic. It's the same room I slept
in as a kid and I still can't believe my
folks never did anything about it.
Maybe it's time I did, eh?

oooouuuuu , well no freakin wonder it drives up the memories ,
move the furniture , add a coat of paint , change it for the new ,
i don't think i could sleep in any of my childhood homes ,
although a brief walk through might be fun , or on the flip side ,
sit in there and deal with it all until the exposure becomes so old ,
it becomes just another room , i think i like my first idea better though ,
change the room , make it something else

I have done that and it's a great room,
9 months out of the year. But it's over
a porch and opens onto a 2nd floor
porch. A new, bigger radiator would
help. Or sleeping in another room when
it gets this cold. I need to take better
care of myself and not dwell on why they
benignly neglected the fact that their
kid was trying to sleep in barnlike
temperatures.

yea , parents ay , too bad they can't be made by order ,
i hold such love for mine and such hate its a real tear between the two ,
i try to tell myself , well its all they knew so how could i expect more ,
but it might have been nice to see them at least make an effort to learn ,
maybe some new insulation and some new siding would help

Well, I failed my kids in some ways,
too, big and small. When I knew better,
I did better. Forgiving my folks
provides the dynamic to forgive myself.
And, really, compared to what some
members of this group went through,
yourself included -- my childhood was
rainbows and butterflies and ice cream

one persons pain is anothers yea , so ...
around the detox the heroin users ,
were always big on the claim ,
that their withdrawl was the most severe and painful of all the withdrawls ,
but i think any withdrawl is each persons own individual hell ,
its usually the hardest thing anyone goes through ,
no matter if its giving up chocolate or poppies ,
so don't minimize your experiences by the depths of what others have had ,
the pain is just as real for what you went through as it is for anyone else

Terrific perspective -- thanks, honey.

Haha! No kiddin'. I prolly coulda
wriggled my way out of it but I reached
this conclusion. I am not a professional
football player -- but I am a
professional. If I play at the top of my
game, the pro footballers will have to
do the same without my usual pregame

against the locker a few times and run
out on the field. Catch ya later, my

sneak in the walkman with one head phone in your ear and say , ' what " a lot ,
you just might be able to pull it off as a hearing aid

think what caused it was that the

Maybe it's time I did, eh?

oooouuuuu , well no freakin wonder it drives up the
memories , move the furniture , add a coat of paint ,
change it for the new , i don't think i could sleep in any
of my childhood homes , although a brief walk through
might be fun , or on the flip side , sit in there and deal
with it all until the exposure becomes so old , it becomes
just another room , i think i like my first idea better
though , change the room , make it something else

I have done that and it's a great room,
9 months out of the year. But it's over
a porch and opens onto a 2nd floor
porch. A new, bigger radiator would
help. Or sleeping in another room when
it gets this cold. I need to take better
care of myself and not dwell on why they
benignly neglected the fact that their
kid was trying to sleep in barnlike
temperatures.

my older son sleeps in a badly heated room that often runs
around 50. he has an electric heater in there that we talked
him into begrudgingly setting to 60, but he keeps turning it
off. he says he likes the cold. weird kid.

I sure hope the shakes go away for ya. I
had bad, bad nightmares before waking
and feel kinda shaky, too. But it's fading.

i had nightmares last night, too, which is unusual. weird vibes in the
air or something.
i'm shakin' too but that's cuz the downstairs hasn't warmed up yet
baby it's cold outside.
chance of snow today. it better materialize or i'm gonna be pissed.

I just checked yer area's weather map
and, yeah, baby, it's cold there. Here,
too. Does your skylight upstairs have
decent insulation?
