Not only that, they're down the road at AT&T in San Antonio twice the next day
(3:00 and 8:00) - and if we go, we've got them here twice at the Toybox the
Sunday before...which would be a perfect birthday present for Mrs. C, what
with her 55th four days later.

Would much rather it have been Stevie Ray Vaughan myself, but that aint
ever going to happen now, :(
Are you going to go and see the Orchestra? Would imagine this to be a very
stimulating experience.

Ditto your sad face for me too. I've tried to watch Double Trouble
with bro Jimmy playing lead, but I just end up really down about losing
SRV, cause Jimmy, bless his big bro heart, nor anyone else, plays like
Stevie.
I been reading his biography, its wild.
I taped the PBS show that showed him playing at different times. It's
better than his records; I love to watch him, he's just totally
charismatic.
Sigh.
The Siberian guy, Sergei: I just made him up. I've never been to
Siberia, altho I would love to go; that's why I made up the story.
Maybe I'll make one up about SRV.
Chief Instigator, sounds like your wife (isn't that who Mrs. C is?) is
one fortunate lady. Hope y'all have lots of fun seeing the
Trans-Siberians.
Carol :)

Same here...Saint Stevie Ray was taken from us far too early...and I was 35
the evening that happened. (Time flies, indeed.)

I should have known what the future held in store at our wedding - when she
unleashed her LD-50 collection of Mannheim Steamroller. ;-)

aha. i might have known. well, the real count sergei enjoyed a good cry when
he was in his cups. although he spoke fluent french, english, and german, he
always reverted to his native russian at those times, lewdly smacking his
lips and singing like a wolf while tears and vodka ran down his manly beard
and bedewed the front of his swelling tunic.

Eww. Did you have an affair with him? they were practicing white
slavery in the day, y'know, after the WWII.
I have a correction. I didn't make up Sergei. He was an exchange
student at my high school in Los Angeles. He was the most beautiful
male I had set eyes on, truly: at age of 18, he was 6 foot tall,
beautiful almond-shaped green green eyes, and wonderful physique. He
was also very nice, mild-mannered, extremely intelligent....and he
actually was from Siberia.
So his visage was my muse and inspiration, of what would happen if I
ever got to Siberia...
I'll never forget the real Sergei. And someday I will go there...
vodka, thick forests, wolfpelt bedding, millions of stars in an immense
black sky....sigghh.

He certainly was something, a very melodic player, would love to have seen
him live, he did tour here once in Oz early eighties, but I got stoned and
I missed it, thank God there are a few DVD's around to look back on.
Sorry Used2be for the hijack on your thread.

Yeah, awesome.
Maybe I'll fly to Austin and take it in. I might see Sergei in the
orchestra. He lives in Siberia, you know, and he plays the balalaika.
He is tall and strong, almond shaped eyes of green, brown hair. You'll
know him if you see him, he is the one who is to die for.
