A $13 "fee" - just on my account, God knows why. Probably too many
transactions this month, either that or I finally avoided bounced check
fees this month, maybe I didn't give them enough bounced check fees so
they have to make up some of the difference. I've never had a fee like
this, so I have no clue what it's for. Fucking bastards. I don't care
if it's all there in the fine print, who the ***** reads that crap?
Please. Like I have time and energy to read in minute detail every
little notice and piece of paper that comes across my desk.

If you call them and query the reason for the charge, they might reverse it in
the interests of good customer relations.

Yup. And it helps if you can talk to someone in person. A few weeks
ago, WAMU suddenly started charging me $20 for my checking account, I
called and wasted way too much time being bounced around from one phone
droid to another, getting nowhere, so I went into the branch the next
day. The guy I talked to brought up my account and typed a few
keystrokes and not only voided the charge but set a flag on my account
to prevent it from ever happening again.

My experience as well. Wamu's phone system sucks, but when I go into
the branch they are very helpful and we've had every charge that
wasn't merited refunded. Now, you just need to drag yourself out of
the house and go over there!
