this laptop and i |
are so not friends.
i have a few choice words for gateway and none of them are very nice.
i killed it several months ago. we tried troubleshooting last weekend
and ended up pulling the hard drive and trying a different one in it.
that worked, so we reformatted the original one (bigger) and i
reinstalled stupid xp today and started downloading drivers from the
gateway site.
it still isn't right, but at least it's functional. i can't get the
ethernet connection to work, but it'll run internet wirelessly or
through the usb.
whatever.
stupid hunk of very expensive junk.

i don't know if it's just flat-out broken or there's something i'm
missing. i've downloaded and tried to install the drivers from the
gateway site, but it's just not working.
guess i won't argue, since i've got a way around it. it just bugs me.

I hate it when something doesn't work RIGHT, but I eventually settle for
working any old how, with a nagging niggle.
