look at computer and sneer. i look at one all day
so no mood to turn it on when i get home. at least i can check my mail from
work ..
anywho ... hows life in your half empty nest? my nephew turned 10 last
week. i know it is not the same as sending your baby off to college ...
but it seems like just yesterday he was so tiny he fit in my hand .. now ..
he has made double digits!

The double digit landmark is a significant one! I felt similar pangs, and I can
still remember what I got the first one who reached it (Far Side anthologies).
Well, at least my nest is only 1/3 empty....it's still populated by the girl and
the youngest boy...The eldest was part of my everyday life for the past 19 years
and it's weird that he's just "gone" from that everyday life - but he's still in
it in a different way. I knew this would happen.
