Loading shite in boxen into my pickup as will be moving

How do you cope with stuff you once loved, and wanna
keep?
How do you sort it out?

I'll cart it to a mates place gradually (as he has space for it), and
see what I
can get rid of.
Some larger stuff I don't wanna throw away.

I know, I carried around the front doors off my F100 for years.... what
the ***** for I'll never know! Finally left them on the front nature
strip.... they were gone within an hour..... someone must have realised
their value.

<<< I carried around the front doors off my F100 for years.... >>>
I had a 1967 F100 from 1980 to 1987. Bought brand new for 1900 bucks
by my grandfather(I had the sales slip), he gave it to my brother (I
had driven gramps around in it for years...'but Jimmy needs it cause he
has a family', gramps said. Jimmy never even visited gramps. still
burns my *****) but I traded my brother my Fiat for the truck finally in
1980. Built like... a truck. Green, flared fenders, wooden bed.
Chains on the tailgate....kinda fell apart in 1987.

But then you wind up haggling over a quarter instead of listing, waiting
for the auction to finish and then shipping. You just can't ditch your
stuff for a move and get any value.
I like ebay to list things around the house before I consign it to the
trash bin anyway.

That's when I just turf all the ***** on the front lawn and leave it for the
ghouls to pick it up..... yeah I lose on it.... but when there is a sudden
move.... that's all one can do.... well, in my frame of mind anyway.

Seems like I've heard of Ebay service providers, or whatever they'd be
called, where you can drag the stuff to them, they handle the auction
part and shipping.

| ebay can be a pain if you want to be moving your stuff fast though

and that's usually the way it is.... I sometimes wonder if a quick garage
sale would be a better option.... but they can a pain in the arse too.

But then you wind up haggling over a quarter instead of listing, waiting
for the auction to finish and then shipping. You just can't ditch your
stuff for a move and get any value.

I like ebay to list things around the house before I consign it to the
trash bin anyway.

Seems like I've heard of Ebay service providers, or whatever they'd be
called, where you can drag the stuff to them, they handle the auction
part and shipping.

The store that tried to do that here was in business for about 3 months

How do you cope with stuff you once loved, and wanna
keep?

How do you sort it out?

That's the most brilliant wordplay thang I've seen in awhile, 'boxen'.
I love that stuff.//
I had to empty a 100 year old house, original owner, last year.
Anything that smelled of cat pee got trashed. Just gotta do it slowly
and deliberately, and mark what's in the boxen, so you don't have to
tear them open everymonth. I learned the hard way. "Where's my cheese

Is your cheese crooked?

In truth, I remember that from Geo. Carlin doing 'Let's make a deal'.
....do you want door # 1, 2 or 3, or the box that Jay is carrying down
the aisle....watch out Jay...Oh, now we know what jay had in the box.
It was a cheese straightener. Deluxe model too. And by the time they
are done, it's anti-climactic, and a little greedy..."Yes, you've won
it, a new Porsche!"
"Oh God, we HAVE a small car"
