That's a feeling I don't miss. I didn't call my sponsor last Thurs.
like I was supposed to. He emailed me and I said I was out of town,
LIE. Last time I talked to him I told him I'd made 3 meetings in the
last week, LIE. He means well, but he's 30 years older and that's just
too much. He's way into AA, and I don't really feel like I need it. I
have no desire to drink and haven't in over 8 months. The meetings are
boring and the Big Book was written what, 50 years ago at least. I'm
just not into AA...Oh but I do miss my Ketal One...

Any reason to keep going, then? I did AA for a while, until it got in
the way of something else I wanted to do even more. for some people
it can be a religion, I saw it as a tool to help me with a particular
problem. For a long time I used it as a club over myself, if I
started drinking again, I would have to go back. That kept me
straight, until I changed my mind. The AA thing was very unpleasant
for me.
