One of the girls at work told me when I put them on that I looked "cool"
I think that's the first time I've ever been cool in my life!!

they look pretty similar to my old ones, in fact almost identical. they
just have thicker lenses. and bifocals.

Mine are supposed to be those gradual bifocals, however I can't really
tell any difference between the top and the bottom so I'm kind of
wondering if they gave me the right lenses. But they seem to work ok.
I'll ask them to check when I go back to get glasses adjusted in the
next couple of weeks I guess, just in case someone stuffed up.

Yay for new glasses! Have yours caused you any eyestrain while you get
used to them? I had a bit of a headache after wearing mine all day at
work on Friday, but that could have just as easily been my sinuses too,
I get pain from them often.

it's taken me an entire week to be able to wear them all day. the first few
days, i could only wear them a little while because they made me dreadfully
dizzy. they are stronger than my old pair, and they are my first bifocals.
it's quite an adjustment to get used to! i was finally able to wear them
all day long on friday, but they are still a bit weird for me. i have to be
sure and move my whole head when i want to look at something and not just my
eyes.

It did make me feel good. I've been feeling really down on myself
lately (insecure, very sensitive to criticism, very self critical etc),
especially when I'm at work, so it felt good to have one of my
co-workers pay me a compliment.
