Wednesday was bad |
Hi All
I'm back after spending the week at a friends caravan in Norfolk, when she
invited me I asked how close to Norwich it was as I thought it would be a
good time to visit Caron's grave/memorial. She drove me there on Wednesday
and not knowing where her ashes were scattered I went to the office and
asked. I was told that her ashes were still with the funeral director (this
is after 14 months). It hit me hard and all I could think about was why did
her family do nothing, I was so low that the only way I could stop myself
selfharming or worse was to get drunk. I'll not go into that, my anger was
very intense and my mood was at an all time low. But apparently I phoned
my old minister and asked if he could contact the family to find out why, I
could not trust myself to do it.
The answer I got back on Friday made me feel extremely small, apparently the
family had planned to scatter her ashes on her birthday but due to the death
of Frank (her father) they forgot. But the good news is that they are going
to discuss it as a family and get back to me. So my mood changed and I'm
now feeling better.

I'm sure they are hurting badly to have lost two people so close together
but I think what you did was truly an act of friendship and love. You
should be glad that you managed to do it :))
