Congratulations. Pray tell, what is an assistant computer officer (so I can
figure out what the equivalent might be here at my school)?

Well, theoretically, i'd be under the computer officer, shadowing where
neccessary, i'd be responsible for 560 students, 100 senior students
over 600 connections on a 24 port switch on one site and around 50
connections on another. I'm still working out how they got 600
connections to a 24 port switch, or what they must mean.
Computer Technician is probably the term. I think Oxford Uni prefer to
use the term Computer Officer so that the students don't think of us as
plebians.

It shows how old my thinking is becoming. Next month I'm going to
campaign to get Thatcher out of number ten.
