now I'm back to " ooh I really do not want to be like this"
the chronic recurring state. and don't worry folks bc
the Rx for when things get worse will be made available.
but ooh. ugh.
about the "moving pictures"
About 3 weeks ago I was checking my mail with a graphic
browser and one of the little adlets jerked around.
I was alerted to the lurking presence/potential within
me for non passive self dislike.
My reaction, as I realized only later was to fall into
a sleep or sleeplike state for about 3 days.
I don't have a television. I don't watch many movies
if any. Moving pictures work on the "frog" part of
one's brain. What this means I do not know.

Yes, it sucks.

How did you feel when you finally got up ?

The brain has evolved from bottom up. I think the 'frog' part probably
refers to the most primitive bit; then there's the Limbic bit and
finally the neocortex on top. Best book I've read about this is Daniel
Goleman 'Emotional Intelligence'.

For a very different take on the development lf the conscious mind, try The
Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind by Julian
Jaynes.

Oooooh yeah! A very scholarly book, but beautifully written. Enjoyable,
thought-provoking.

That must be why I always ask for flies on my popcorn at the cinema.

Our subconscious minds have no sense of humor, play no jokes and cannot
tell the difference between reality and an imagined thought or image. What
we continually think about eventually will manifest in our lives.
