what I take for sleep |
150 mgs trazadone and 100 mgs of benadryl..yeah I sleep 13 hrs would
prob.sleep longer but pain always wakes me
it's either that or not sleep
like I said before I've tried all the types of sleeping meds even
tried seraquel (spelling) is used to knock me now it doesn't even make
me sleepy
someone said they used ativan, at what dose?
I've taken at the lowest dose that didn't do anything

I take 600mg of trazodone. It helps me get to sleep, and helps me get
back to sleep when I wake up in the night. It doesn't stop me feeling
tired or needing naps during the day.

When I was in the hospital, my psych. had me on 200 mgs Trazedone. It put me
to sleep, in conjunction with 20 mgs Lexapro. Maybe you could add somethiong
like Trazedone + Effexor, in addition to an anticonvulsant and small dose of
antipsychotic. Sometimes you need to switch mental health meds due to
symptoms acting up. Generally benadryl is used for short term insomnia. Hope
that this helps. It is also suggested to go to a sleep lab for your problem
of not sleeping.

I do want to go a sleep clinic, the one they have in town doesn't
insomnia!
There's a large well respected teaching hosp around 70 miles away but
they don't take my insurance

I will not ever go on effexor again....it took me 6 months get off it
and had to do it with the help of prozac..the weight gain from it was
awful I was clincally obese at 5 ft tall now I've lost over 70 lbs..I
do take a anticonv. for my neuropthy, gabatentin (sp)...I have this
high tolerance I think part it is because of my pain meds are at high
doses too when I take them I don't drive but it doesn't make sleepy
either
my Pdoc wants me to use hrdro cholrate (sp) I had friend die on it
she was taking pain meds too not nearly as strong as I do, got up in
the middle of the night confused took her pain med too early and had
an heart attack
