Object: What's going on with me?
Hi everyone,
I posted on here a few weeks ago about being prescribed Clomipramine
(Anafranil). I went to my doctor yesterday and she upped the dose from
50mg/night to 100mg/night. After taking the increased dose, I felt a
little better today - a bit more relaxed and chatty. But then I came
in from work and something wound me up (I get agitated over really
small, silly things), and now I feel in my I-hate-the-world, suicidal
state again. Am I bipolar? I don't have mania at all. I just sometimes
suddenly feel suicidal. Also, I'm about to take the next dose in half
an hour, so could it possibly be that the last dose is wearing off?
Thanks,
Daniel

It takes any antidepressant awhile to get into your system, usually
about 3 months or more. You might want to call your doctor. I have had
similar feelings, but don't know where they come from. Maybe you
should start a blog or offline journal to show to the doctor your
progress. Perhaps another medication may need to be added. Hope that
this is helpful.

You should send this to yourself as an e-mail and then take the advice.
Except the add another medication part. That's crap.

The same thing happens to me, and sometimes I don't even need something
to wind me up to get to that point. I don't think you're bipolar from
what you've written, but I've never met you either. I'm not bipolar. Try
to get your mind off it. I know it's hard. You probably don't feel like
doing anything, but just jump in and post here if you can't think of
something else to do. You're among people with the same sort of
circumstances.
