is far more scary. And I don't even wanna look at
world population growth.
Money is a virtual resource that allows one
to live in a comfortable manner. Now, if that
amount was in my bank account, I couldn't
get near it, spending just the interest would
be very very difficult.
I can be a bit of a tight arse when it comes
to spending money anyway. You won't
find me in expensive restraunts, or the
pokie machines often. I admit I like to
buy an occasional gadet from the gadet
shop - satnav, new laptop lately. I need
a new digital cam, however the crapulent
one I have that only holds 16 photos and
needs 2.5 amps from two AA size batteries
sorta does the job.
Hmmm, I wonder what the tax bill on the interest
would be? Oh, it's all paid for by other peoples taxes
on their interest.
There is something wrong with the whole picture,
but I'm not sure what it is.

Cost of the war in Iraq: ~$448,251,200,000 (www.costofwar.com)
Population of Iraq: 27,499,638 (CIA world fact book)
$448,251,200,000 / 27,499,638 = $16,300.26 per Iraqi
"Average income in Iraq fell from $3,600 per person in 1980 to between
$770 and $1,020 by 2001 and will be just $450-610 by the end of 2003, the
UN and World Bank said.
Even by the end of 2004, the two organizations estimate that average
income could be lower than in 2001." (BBC - The CIA world fact book makes
no estimate at this point... for some reason.)
Maybe we could have just paid them to be our friends?
