What's your favorite tv series? |
I keep reading talk of the Sopranos and Six Feet Under....my personal
favorite dramatic series would have to be 24. I used to watch it
faithfully and hated it when I missed an episode. Right now I would
say Law and Order also rank up there, and I still love watching reruns
of The Practice. I was bummed when the show was cut. Gosh, I used to
like NYPD Blue as well. I can't think of a favorite comedic series
atm.

I read something about it coming to SciFi Channel in the fall, but I
can't verify that because the website uses the ***** flash plugin.

That's so weird. I saw on a forum that said it's on Thursdays at
10:30 EST on SciFi Channel, but I don't see it in my guide. I can get
the first two seasons on DVD from Amazon.com, but I don't want to spend
$21.99 per season unless I know I really like the show.

Yea. They had to bring Family Guy back. After they cancelled it, when
they put the first season on DVD, it broke TV series DVD sales records.
It would've been stupid to not bring it back.
Have you ever seen the movie Clerks? Well, they made a cartoon of it and
made five episodes before it got cancelled, but it was really funny. I
miss it.

It never really was a very popular movie. It was a low budget
independant film. More people have seen the sequel than the original.

I alternate between a lot of favourite shows. There's not a lot of good
Australian shows on TV (excluding All Saints, a hospital drama) so I
watch a lot of American shows.
24 is great, as is Heroes and Prison Break. Also House.
Lately I've been watching The West Wing on DVD. I cried during the
Election Day episodes in the last season (although I won't say why in
case people haven't seen it).
As for my favourite show of all time, it would have to be Babylon 5.
Star Trek is good, but B5 wins every time.
I saw the DVD sets of The Sopranos on sale today and I'm thinking about
going back and getting one. Slunky speaks so highly of it, so it must
be good.

Oh, "House," I guess. Although I seldom watch television anymore. My TV
these days is almost exclusive a monitor for my DVD player.

I miss the old shows... "Cagney and Lacey", "all in the family",
"The brady bunch", "The jeffersons", "dallas", "dynasty", "melrose
place", "The twilight zone" etc...thankfully, a lot of old show are
available on DVD...

Ahh, TV. I only watch TV now when I drop by my folks house.
Boston Public was a great show.
House and CSI were the only ones I paid attention to last year. Oh
wait, Deadliest Catch, about the crab season I'd make a point of
watching, too.
I watched Friday Night Lights on the web. I think it's cool that full
episodes are availble on line now for a lot of stuff.
I wish the Daily Show and Colbert Report were available as something
other than snippets...

Oh, one more, that I stumbled across on a site called Veoh: BBC
started a Robin Hood series last year. It's not historically
faithful, but I like it. I enjoy the wit in it, and the parallels
drawn between the Crusades and wars of today.

Hi, Rose. As for comedic series, I know it was years ago, but I'd have
to say Seinfeld. I was so sorry to see them go! I'm sure they were
right in thinking they should "quit while they were ahead" but I'm
convinced they had at least a good five years ahead of them. God, I
