The balancing mechanism of the 'Segway' scooter, has been incorporated into
wheel-chairs that can now climb stairs and even tip the undercarriage up
onto two wheels so that the person can reach high shelves and talk to
people eye-to-eye. Not often that a toy produces truly useful spin-off :))
