When you change your phone number |
do you bother to alert people who should know? how immediately do you
do it?
I recently changed my cell phone number and I caught a lot of flack
from people for not telling them that it changed. I found this funny
because these people never call me! I remember being so depressed
when I first got my cell phone, sent an e-mail with my number to all
these people, and asked them to call me so I could get an idea of its
coverage area/etc.
Nobody called. I waited a whole month. Not a single call. That's when
I realized that I need to call people first before they will bother to
call me. Which to me is a good sign that they simply do not care about
me.
I also find this interesting because, on the occasions that others
have changed their numbers, none of them ever bothered to notify me.
Why should I be chastised for giving as good as I get?
My list of "friends" gets smaller and smaller. My desire to live
becomes weaker by the minute. I am simply not wanted or needed in this
world.

I changed a few months ago and haven't told anyone. I only had a few
people upset that I hadn't told them, but then the only reason they were
calling me is because they wanted to borrow my truck and help them move some
stuff.
