Object: Wisdome of Dr. Low
I deal with patients, and therefore I am, of course, partial to the notion
of training. How can a patient get well unless he establishes the habit of
control of his impulses, control of his temper, control of his keen desire
to make his own diagnosis, control of his desire to constantly check his
body and find out the spots that he thinks are decaying or rotting? If I
don't establish new habits in him, then how can he get well? How can he
acquire, then, the habits that he needs?"

"Wisdom of Dr. Low" is sent out each day on a mail list to anyone who
wants to receive it. I am very grateful for Recovery and
read these emails every day. Dr. Low founded Recovery Inc., a self help
group led
by the patients themselves. The methods learned through reading Dr. Lows
works, attending meetings, and constant practice, have helped thousands of
people to get their mental health back. I thought some people here might
also like to
read them. The subject header will always be Wisdom of Dr. Low, so if this
bothers you in some way, I'm sorry, and ask you to simply ignore these
messages. Peace and good health to everyone.
