Object: you sit still...
....for a little too long and try to remember anything, remember three
seconds ago when it seemed like everything lasted forever and now it doesn't
make sense anymore, now it falls apart everytime you reach for it and
nothing you can do really changes anything, really matters for anything at
all; pretend to see whatever everyone else said they saw when the only thing
you ever noticed was the end.

hold back every word until it's all mixed together in the back of your mind
and it doesn't matter if it comes out anymore because it's lost its meaning
anyways. there are only the dull stares, the fading gray of the television
screen, the seconds you lost in between the time you sat down and the time
you remembered anything at all.
at least you did one good thing today. two, if this counts at all.

do you ever just turn around and wonder why you're still here? why you
haven't listened when everyone'es said it wasn't good enough? because they
were right, you know.

now it makes sense. don't ever wonder again.
i'm sorry for what happened 5 or 6 years ago. i was in high school. i didn't
know better. but seeing it now kills me inside, makes me wish i'd known how
immature i was being, how silly and lame and attention-seeking and dramatic.
i'd like to think i've learned, that i know better, but that's something
only i can judge. so to those of you who were around then, i'm sorry. i wish
everyone were still here, that i even knew who was here then and still is
now... you've probably already forgotten everything bu the sour taste.
