Object: your story was very good, alan...
i'd have replied to it in the writing room, but it came up as something
called "unicode" and i couldn't reply to it as i normally would.
it was very "real."

What could that be? It's just another newsgroup.

Thank you both. I hope you found it funny in places. Reality usually is,
whatever the circumstances.
I think it's a lot better now I've re-worked it as the critic's comments
suggested. I'm not sure it's finished, but I think it's getting there.
(Detailed comments are welcome.)

Someone else's computer getting confused by the non-ASCII codes embeded in
the file. So I'm not the only one ;)) (That's why I quoted it in full
in my reply in ASDW but with all the non-ASCII characters replaced with
plain text equivalents).

it was very "real."

good job.

"Bad language" would increase the verisimilitude, I think.

You want me to use naughty words? Worse than fu*k? I'll have to find a
naughty word dictionary for ideas. There must be something on the
Internet.

His vocabulary is so twentieth century Leeds, I don't recognise most of
the words, though they're obviously naughty.
