Take a look at this Tech Note:

DOES NOT WORK!!!
Still get this problem even after following the advice of the Technical Note.
Out of Memory is a serious condition for an application. The fact that Adobe
has a Checkbox to disable the message means that they couldn't figure out a fix
either!!!
That really sucks.

Which checkbox are you referring to? Can you post a screen shot?
Please open a tech support case so we can investigate this further:

DW8 or CS3? You have 2GB of RAM, but much of it may be used by other
programs running in the background. Do you have many icons in the system
tray? Take a look at Task Manager and see how many other processes are
running. Have you disabled items in MSCONFIG? Have you increased your
Page File? This thread might be helpful:

Cliff.

I'm having the exact same problem. It does it almost every time I use
Dreamweaver. This happens with both of my comps that I use DW on.
Both are on Vista Business with 2GB of memory. Doesn't make any
sense. Sometimes, it even does this right after I've restarted, so I
know it's not actually because the system is low on memory. Any help
or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks all... using CS3... found the tech note after posting the question...
it's pretty ridiculous that Dreamweaver gives these out of memory errors... I
have a feeling this is a long standing bug in the code and the original guy who
wrote Dreamweaver doesn't even work there anymore... so nobody has any clue how
to fix it...
oh well... at least we can hack around it... just like CSS :-)
