My images don't look as good..NEED HELP!! |
If I create an image in fireworks, then I export it a s a .gif so it is transparent, the .png file looks great then when i do the preview for my image, the lines don't look as good. everything looks very unprofessional i guess you could say. it does this when i use photoshop too, whenever i try to save as a .gif... could anybody help...please

I wouldn't know for certain without seeing the images, but the .gif file
format only supports a maximum of 256 colors. Could that be the problem?

..png images will support transparency. Unfortunately, browser support is
somewhat spotty, especially if the .png is anything more than an 8-bit
color. IE fails pretty miserably.

No. Not with the same browser compatibility as GIF images.
