Object: Server Behaviors panel
According to the help file, in order to add a Log In User server behavior, I
have to go to Window > Server Behaviors, click the plus (+) button and choose
User Authentication > Log In User from the pop-up menu. The plus button is
greyed out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm running DreamWeaver MX.

Ok, I think I've figured it out. I have to Create a site, Choose a document
type, then setup the site's testing server. I did all this and the plus sign
is now available.
I guess I'm not sure which document type to use. ASP JavaScript, ASP.NET,
ASP VBScript, ColdFusion, JSP, or PHP.
All I'm trying to do is implement a simple login page for some semi-sensitive
information. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do you have experience with any programming languages?

Sorry, I do not know what my host server supports and I have no programming
experience. I've done ok up to this point as far as building the site. I'm a
Network Administrator trying to dab in web site design. Guess I jumped in over
my head. Sorry to bother you guys, I guess the software made it look easier
than it is... or at least the help file did.
thanks

Well, you don't really need programming experience to use the server behaviors
(although it doesn't hurt). My question was really directed at helping you
choose which sever model to pick. If you have no preference, I'd suggest php
since it works on all platforms and is very popular. But, you'll have to make
sure that DW login server behavior works with php - I think it does but I'm not
sure.

The help file says you can't use ASP.NET or PHP for login pages. See below.
[Q]Note: Dreamweaver does not have authentication server behaviors for ASP.NET
or PHP pages.[/Q]
I may try to use Cold Fusion.
