Object: Why are TEXT sizes grayed out in menu?
Why are my TEXT menus for SIZE and SIZE CHANGE unavailable? I cannot select a
basic size 1 or 2 etc or even a +1 or -1 option. These are grayed out in the
menu -- have been since I installed. Is there a way in the preferences to make
sure that I can use these in my documents? Thanks.

Do you have a defined site with a page open, and your cursor placed in some

text? <<< Yes. Cursor inserted and I have to use font tags instead of the
menu pull downs. >>> The default for DW is to use CSS instead of HTML styles.
<<< I usually use CSS, but I had always thought it would be easier sometimes
to use the DW pull down menus...I guess that isn't right - understanding now
they are actually different languages. Thanks. I sure do want to keep my pages
up-to-date. I never considered that they act differently ;-)

The default for DW is to use CSS instead of HTML styles. The styles you are
wanting to use can only be used with the deprecated HTML <font> tag. This
is why you cannot choose them from the menus. If you must use 1990
techniques, then you can change PREFERENCES to use HTML styles. But beware -
your pages will not validate if that's a consideration.
