Witness Testifies she sold Crack to Barry Many Times

A former city employee testified today in Mayor
Marion S. Barry Jr.'s drug trial that she sold
crack to the Mayor on more than 20 occasions,
sometimes handing it over at her home after he
arrived by limousine, other times delivering it to
him at hotels and at a city office building.
Farace's Wife Free On $250,000 Bail
The wife and brother-in-law of Constabile (Gus)
Farace, who is the prime suspect in the murder of a
Federal drug agent, were freed on $250,000 bail each
yesterday on charges of distributing marijuana.

Thornburgh's Son Is Cleared of Drug Accusations
LEAD: The Justice Department says that the F.B.I.
looked into an accusation by a former Pennsylvania
official that the son of Attorney General ***** Thornburgh
had used marijuana and cocaine, but that investigators
found the charges to be unsubstantiated.

Some FBI's Study Hints Lied To Hide Ginsburg Drug Use

LEAD: The Federal Bureau of Investigation will
forward information to the Justice Department
indicating that associates of Judge Douglas H.
Ginsburg lied to investigators when they denied
knowledge of the judge's past marijuana use,
law-enforcement officials said today.
F.B.I. OPENS INQUIRY IN GINSBURG CASE
The FBI said that it had begun an inquiry to
determine whether FBI agents mishandled five
separate background investigations in recent
years that failed to detect past marijuana use
by Judge Douglas H. Ginsburg.

Six inmates at the Federal penitentiary at Lewisburg,
four women and a man, have been charged with
participating in marijuana smuggling during Moslem
services at the prison chapel, the Federal Burau of
Investigation says. The smuggling was recorded by
surveillance cameras in an investigation, the bureau
said. All 11 suspects are Sunni or Shiite Moslems
and face maximum sentences of 45 years in prison
and $250,000 in fines.
