Atheist Education State Standards
By Jennifer Schroeder
April 30, 2003
Public schools and textbooks have a license to control our children's
thought process under the banner "critical thinking." The definition is well
written, but in reality it opens the door for teachers and textbooks to
instill atheist beliefs in our children. Example: from Houghton Mifflin's
"Modern World History," (pg 627):
"Human beings are spiritual animals...Men and women started to worship gods
as soon as they became recognizably human; they created religions at the
same time they created works of art."
Using California's State Standards as an example, page 23 states:
"Students should understand the intense religious passions that have
produced fanaticism and war as well as the political arrangements developed
(such as separation of church and state) that allow different religious
groups to live amicably in a pluralistic society."
These state standards admit RIGHT HERE that the goal is to water down the
faith of children. We can believe, just do not believe passionately.
"Intense religious passions that have produced fanaticism and war." What
about the intense religious passion that has prompted so many to love with
acts of compassion? Overwhelmingly the largest charities and free service
organizations world-wide stem from passionate religious faith. But public
education endeavors to abolish passionate religion. It was the passionate
religion of our forefathers that shaped the foundation of this nation. To
diffuse the passion of religion is not the purpose of public schools.
"Students need to understand why a democracy needs citizens who value
give-and-take on issues, who do not feel it necessary to go to war over
every idea, and who seek the middle ground on which consensus and
cooperation can flourish." (pg 39)
There IS a right and wrong, at times we should be passionate. The quote
above is not about peace, it's about dumbing down America, teaching us to be
non-responsive and apathetic. What if Patrick Henry or our forefathers were
conditioned this way? There is such a demand in society to deny right and
wrong and put everything in the gray, but this will not achieve peace,
rather we will become sheep ready for slaughter.
California's State Standards declare:
"The skills involved in critical thinking enable students to question the
validity and meaning of what they read, hear, think, and believe. Critical
thinking requires a questioning mind and a skeptical withholding of assent
about the truth of a statement until it can be critically evaluated. While
such skills are developed through everyday living as well as by schooling,
the history-social science classroom is an especially appropriate setting
for developing such skills." (pg 41)
Why is the history-social science classroom an "especially appropriate
setting for developing such skills"? The Houghton Mifflin textbooks are a
prime example of "critical thinking" propaganda. The textbooks are literally
saying, "This is a religion and this is how you cut it apart." The presented
religion is not fact based, as openly admitted the goal is to present the
positive attributes only, (except for Christianity and Judaism).
Critical thinking is indeed "especially appropriate" for atheists eager to
apply skepticism of religion to young impressionable minds. A far better
application of "critical thinking" would be in science class. Why not teach
children to scrutinize Darwin's theory of evolution? "To reach conclusions
of solid evidence" would be a welcome reality check.
California State Standards, page 24:
"This framework proposes that critical thinking skills be included at every
grade level. Students should learn to detect bias in print and visual media;
to recognize illogical thinking; to guard against propaganda; to avoid
stereotyping of group members; to reach conclusions based on solid evidence;
and to think critically, creatively, and rationally. These skills are to be
taught within the context of a curriculum that offers numerous opportunities
to explore examples of sound reasoning and examples of the opposite.
The "sound reasoning" as determined by a now atheist (separation of church)
public education.
"To detect bias in print"
The Houghton Mifflin textbook is loaded with previously undetected bias.
Obviously public education is incapable of discernment.
"To recognize illogical thinking"
As determined by who? Teachers insist Islam cannot be taught without
induction practices, yet teach American history stripped of its Christian
foundation. Public education can't recognize its own "illogical thinking."
"To reach conclusions based on solid evidence"
This is the opener to attack faith. We walk by faith not by sight.
"To guard against propaganda"
Houghton Mifflin's textbooks should be used in courses as examples of
propaganda, not history.
"To think critically, creatively, and rationally."
Our children already do that. Children are able to make up their own minds
if you give them FACTS and not public education programming.

Atheism teaches that there is no God, hence no God-given rights. That
ideology coupled with a system that believed in the superiority of the state
at the expense of the individual was murderously synergistic.

Atheist Education State Standards
By Jennifer Schroeder

From this same URL, but censored by the poster:
By Jennifer Schroeder, founder of BlessedCause.org, an organization
dedicated to restore sanity to our schools. Jen Schroeder began the crusade
that has resulted in a federal lawsuit by Thomas More Law Center against
indoctrination of Islam in public school.
From http://blessedcause.org/About_Us.htm
Contact:

Because of sharing the Gospel and objecting to attacks on faith in public
school, I've been spit at, I've had things thrown at me, I've had websites
with message boards about how to mutilate me before killing me. There is a
pro-Palestinian website right now that directs people in how to find me
personally. I've had people send me emails out of concern for my life and
from what they've heard in atheist groups. I've received threats, my house
has been broken into (nothing taken) and I've recently been followed. (So
much for freedom of speech).
My webstats show that many Middle East terrorist nations take a profound
interest in this website. Our number one page for months has been "Quran"
which (wince) might enrage militant Islam. A United Nations organization,
the International Atomic Energy Agency, has seen fit to link traffic to my
site covertly, which explains why so many countries, averaging over 50
different countries a month, find my site. (I honestly believe that Clinton
cut a deal behind closed doors regarding our children's education, hence the
UN attention).
I've been threatened with lawsuits. The Democratic party has accused me of
starting the recall just prior to being framed. The FBI has warned me to be
careful. All because I wrote what is in the textbooks. All because God has
sent a message. All because the darkness hates the light.
I've changed my name and address at this site. I've completely changed my
name legally offline, for safety sake, I'm considering moving again, and
I've taken security measures that I won't name, but best of all, I pray. For
years now, as I've gone through this, I remember the times God has
miraculously saved my life in many ways and I remember that nothing escapes
God, nothing will happen to me that God is not aware of. Nothing. To live is
Christ, to die is gain. My end may be violent, but I will not be alone
through the storm.
I have written His message, I have exposed quotes of proselytizing in our
children's textbooks, I have posted the seriousness of our affronts as a
nation. I have warned silent pastors and so-called Christian Educators. I
have warned of consequences. I have done what He has asked me to do and I'm
praying to walk away.
Only God could command His message be heard through today's resources, only
God. What could a no-nothing mom like me do to gain worldwide attention of
government leaders? Nothing. But after posting what God said, He gave
BlessedCause the attention of international leaders and kings through the
United Nation's organization IAEA, the attention of President Bush with the
trial of John Walker Lindh, the Democrats know enough about BlessedCause to
falsely name us as behind the Davis recall and the plot that ensued, we've
received media coverage by Fox News, the Associated Press and others in
regards to the textbook, and now dozens of our posts are listed #1 on
Google, which the Los Angeles Times reports as the #1 search engine
worldwide. Our post, "A Warning from God" is #1 out of 103,000 and holding.
There is no way a nobody like me could have garnered all that exposure and I
have no idea how it's happening.. But God does. Only God could have made it
possible. Only God. All glory belongs to Him.
It doesn't matter if the world doesn't listen to me, it is not my job to
convince anyone. But we as a nation should listen to God. He has always
warned the people before the start of consequences, and God has always used
the commonest no-nothing people to do it. The message has been given. The
warning has been sent. We need only keep our lamps filled with oil and
wait...not the oil of Iraq but the Biblical oil of the Holy Spirit as the
bridesmaids wait for the groom...
The ferocity of darkness that is sweeping this nation is exactly as God said
it would be before the end times. If anyone reading this does not know God,
I pray you seek Him. Choose today who your master is. Christ has come,
Christ is risen, Christ will come again. Seek Him while there is still time,
seek Him and live.
To those nations who plot to destroy America, know that your victories are
not because of "Allah." You have no victory over us that the God of
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob did not give you. It is not because of your gods or
your careful planning or your skill. When the blood flows and the plagues
begin, we ought not blame the Muslims or the Koreans or the United Nations
or God. America must blame herself. We have turned our backs on God, we have
sacrificed our children, we pour out pornography and teach homosexuality to
children, and worst of all, we lead our children to participate in other
religions with other gods.
God has warned us, He sent His prophets, He wrote His Word and He sent His
very Son that we would know Him and reconcile with Him. But we, as a nation
that began as Christian and prospered, now mock God, persecute His disciples
and slaughter innocent children as our silent pastors open wide the gates to
ravaging wolves, and lukewarm Christians look on and nod.
Do not blame the Muslims, America, we bring this on ourselves. He has warned
us and He foretold us of our fate.

You could be a homeschooler.

Actually, down here in Texas we went through this some 20 years ago.
It was proposed that children be schooled in thinking, problem solving
and critical thinking to raise the low scores here. Children don't really
do well with just simple drilling basics, the far right way of doing things.
And many children fall along the wayside because they get bored and
hostile and see no point in 'education'.
The rightwing net double backflip ape.
Drooling and howling how it was all a commie plot to undermine our American
way, patriotism, and our precious bodily fluids.
The whole idea naturally died quickly enough and Teas for 20 years or so
has dragged along in the bottom 10% of school systems nationwide.
The latest right winger idea, test, test, test, has teachers teaching to
the test, a situation that still isn't exactly working.
Here in Houston, HISD, one of the largest school systems in the USA, we had
a massive drop out rate that was hidden by failing to keep proper books on
dropouts here.
Ron Paige, Bush's education czar was leader of HISD.
Today, we have a problem with American schools not passing enough quality
students to create enough engineers and scientists. You don't create
scientists and engineers and other creative thinkers with dull, teach to
the test regimines.
And across America, evolution and science as such has all but disappeared
in American schools, thanks to these sorts of idiots.
What there is is often dumbed down and hedged to not offend far right
religious cranks.
A travesty.

Drool! Drool! Drool!

You could be a homeschooler.

Actually, down here in Texas we went through this some 20 years ago.
It was proposed that children be schooled in thinking, problem solving
and critical thinking to raise the low scores here. Children don't really
do well with just simple drilling basics, the far right way of doing

things.

And many children fall along the wayside because they get bored and
hostile and see no point in 'education'.
The rightwing net double backflip ape.
Drooling and howling how it was all a commie plot to undermine our

American

way, patriotism, and our precious bodily fluids.

The whole idea naturally died quickly enough and Teas for 20 years or so
has dragged along in the bottom 10% of school systems nationwide.
The latest right winger idea, test, test, test, has teachers teaching to
the test, a situation that still isn't exactly working.

Here in Houston, HISD, one of the largest school systems in the USA, we

had

a massive drop out rate that was hidden by failing to keep proper books on
dropouts here.

Weren't there a high number of drop outs and expulsions to get rid of the
kids who were lowering the test rates?

Ron Paige, Bush's education czar was leader of HISD.

The man who called the NEA "a terrorist organization."

It's a disgrace, isn't it? The world leader in science and technology and
most of its citizens think that the world's only 6000 years old. We trust
science when it's used for medicine, communications, automotive technology,
space science, etc., but call it bogus when it comes to origins.

What there is is often dumbed down and hedged to not offend far right
religious cranks.

A travesty.

Cheerful Charlie

Atheist Education State Standards
By Jennifer Schroeder

Public schools and textbooks have a license to control our children's
thought process under the banner "critical thinking."

Easily countered by:
The "public schools" and "textbooks" are controlled by LOCAL school
boards.
That means local standards, local elections
