Object: Bin Laden Video Confirms His War Political, not Religious (Cold War Still Hot)
I've posted the idea a few times that this war wasn't religious at
all, since Bin Laden's group has net yet targeted even ONE Christian
church or Jewish Temple to my memory. His most recent video confirms
this, even further.
In a rambling video meant (likely) to try to get some support in the
Islamic world, Bin Laden moves from topic to topic. However, the
closest he gets to being religious was to say that if America went to
Islam, American commercial interests would be offended and hurt. Did
you get that? COMMERCE would be affected...that is his main goal in
mentioning religion...to disrupt America's commerce. Do you still
think it was a coincidence he ran planes into the World TRADE Center?
Bin Ladin's war on America isn't a war of religious ideals (even if he
uses religious language to try to get support). It is the same old
Socialist war on Capitalists that has existed for a hundred
years....Bin Ladin even using anti-capitalist language in his recent
video. And, THAT, is why Russia and other socialist bodies in the
world are slow to help fight or find him.

You are saying what...exactly. Bin Ladin, who hasn't hit a religious
target in 15 years is going to get around to it?

He's hit the same religious target people like you want to hit. The Secular
United States.
I hope you buy your brethren a fruit basket the next time he shows up.
People so close should have no problem sharing desert.

And you have been wrong every time.
Religious wars historically have not involved attacking churches
and/or places of worship. Why not? Because such attacks are not
perceived to weaken the enemy. Instead you attack the basis of
military and commercial strength.
Likewise, attacks on churches are not necessarily religious in nature.
The burning of black churches in Alabama had no especial religious
significance. They just happened to be places where lots of blacks
congregated, some of whom were pushing for civil rights reforms.
You make the mistake of thinking that a war against Christians and
Jews is the same as a war against Christianity and Judaism. Not
everyone thinks like you, not even other nutcases like bin Ladin.

That does not follow from what you say. It is at least as plausible
that his main goal in mentioning commerce is that damage to commerce
would damage the strength of this country, which would weaken it.

Do you still

Bin Ladin of course is a very rich capitalist. So much for that
theory.

And, THAT, is why Russia and other socialist bodies in the world are slow to help fight or find him.

Russia isn't a "socialist body", dummy. They went capitalist 15 years
ago.
But of course you still have not posted your definition of
"socialism".

Stength=Commerce here.

How does that change anything? ALL of the Democrats that attack the
"rich" are, themselves, rich. Does that mean they are not really
against the rich?

It isn't a war on "religion". It is a war on people who follow the
"wrong religion". You should understand this, since you practice the
same sort of war, though perhaps without so much violence.

The targets are economic, so...what does that make the war on?
