Geneva, N.Y. - Ahkeem Whitfield is charged with torturing and murdering
a child. Also, new information has surfaced about the child's mother who
is also charged in the baby’s death.
A small sign and a pacifier mark the grave of 10-month-old Iyonna Brown.
That, and a faded photo with her smiling 4-year-old sister Nicole.
The girls’ mother, Heather Brown, faces manslaughter charges.
Brown’s neighbor Lynn Barbuto said, "I've seen her; she's quiet and
polite…I think there's a lot more to this story. "
Ontario County Protective Services workers were working with Brown's
family prior to her infant's death on May 31.
Citing privacy reasons, officials would not discuss what led to that
intervention or what steps were taken to ensure the safety of both girls.
Ahkeem Whitfield is charged with torturing and killing Iyonna Brown, his
girlfriend's daughter.
Another alleged victim Taleisha Krieger said, "It’s disgusting and it’s
scary. " Krieger said she built a privacy fence to protect her children
after a confrontation with Whitfield just last month. At the time she
did not know his connection to the baby's death.
"He had a 7 foot stick in his hand with nails in it,” Krieger said. “I
ran inside and locked the door and called the cops."
Whitfield now faces menacing charges in that case. According to Geneva
court records, since 2003, Whitfield has also been convicted of a
similar menacing charge plus multiple counts of harassment, resisting
arrest and disorderly conduct.
In the days after the baby’s death, Whitfield moved into an apartment
owned by Louis Pasqua.
"He kicked it in,” Pasqua said. “It's a brand new metal door. It still
has the dents in it."
Whitfield was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child once
before.
Geneva police did not return calls to discuss what happened in that
case, or whether the victim was one of Heather Brown's children. But the
charge was filed six months before baby Iyonna’s death. At that time, it
was dismissed as part of a plea deal.
Heather Brown delivered a baby two weeks ago. The newborn, and her older
daughter Nicole are now in foster care.
CURRENTLY CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES VIOLATES MORE CIVIL RIGHTS ON A
DAILY BASIS
THEN ALL OTHER AGENCIES COMBINED INCLUDING THE NSA / CIA WIRETAPPING
PROGRAM....
CPS Does not protect children...
It is sickening how many children are subject to abuse, neglect
and even killed at the hands of Child Protective Services.
every parent should read this .pdf from
connecticut dcf watch...
http://www.connecticutdcfwatch.com/8x11.pdf
http://www.connecticutdcfwatch.com
Number of Cases per 100,000 children in the US
These numbers come from The National Center on
Child Abuse and Neglect in Washington. (NCCAN)
Recent numbers have increased significantly for CPS
*Perpetrators of Maltreatment*
Physical Abuse CPS 160, Parents 59
Sexual Abuse CPS 112, Parents 13
Neglect CPS 410, Parents 241
Medical Neglect CPS 14 Parents 12
Fatalities CPS 6.4, Parents 1.5
Imagine that, 6.4 children die at the hands of the very agencies that
are supposed to protect them
and only 1.5 at the hands of parents per 100,000 children.
CPS perpetrates more abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse and kills more
children then parents in the United States.
If the citizens of this country hold CPS to the same standards that
they hold parents too.
No judge should ever put another child in the hands of ANY government
agency because
CPS nationwide is guilty of more harm and death than any human being
combined.
CPS nationwide is guilty of more human rights violations and deaths of
children then the homes from which they were removed.
When are the judges going to wake up and see that they are sending
children to their death and a life of abuse when children
are removed from safe homes based on the mere opinion of a bunch of
social workers.
