How good is testimony as a form of evidence?
a)Testimony is the poorest form of evidence. The human mind is very
malleable, and memory can be affected by a wide variety of factors.
Very normal people can sincerely remember things that never happened.
Add to this the interest of many of the witnesses in getting
attention, influencing how they are themselves perceived by those
around them, ameliorating their punishment, or exacting vengeance on
their enemies. Testimony alone should be used only with extreme
caution.

As good as any other form.
Assessing how good a particular piece of evidence is has nothing to do
with the type of evidence.

No it isn't.
No such hierarchy of evidence exists in law or in the study of history.
This is nothing more than an invention by deniers to deal with a
particular category that is quite damaging to the denial of historical
fact.

Sorry, Phil, you lose again.

with the type of evidence.

Did you eat paint chips when you were a kid?

Yup, you chewed the paint on your crib. Any interested reader can
google on the hierarchy of evidence. Choose a science or art.

fact.

You are truly a limp *****, Mathews.
