Three New On-Line Courses from Statistics.Com
Introduction to Resampling Methods March 8 - April 2, 2004 introduces
the basic concepts and methods of statistics via resampling methods.
Participants will learn to use R or Resampling Stats to do interval
estimation, one-, two- and k-sample comparisons, correlation, and a
number of other most-powerful unbiased statistical procedures. The
goal of the course is to give participants the confidence and tools
necessary for the practice of resampling methods in their own research
and in interpreting the research of others. Software is provided.
(Level: Intermediate.)

Avoiding Common Errors in Statistics March 15 - April 9, 2004 provides
everything you need to know to avoid blunders in the design and
analysis of your experiments, in modeling, and in your reports.
Analysts, researchers, students, managers and anyone else who must
write up the results of statistical studies will find this course
invaluable. The instructor's prescriptive approach includes
checklists and recommendations for data collection, formulating
testable hypotheses, determining sample size, minimizing losses,
validating assumptions, recognizing and reporting biases, and
building, testing, and validating models. (Level: Intermediate.)
