More School Indoctrination |
The Little Black Book
News; Posted on: 2005-05-18 07:07:01 [ Printer friendly / Instant flyer ]
A homosexual and pornographic how-to booklet startles parents; legislation
created.
The Article 8 Alliance" claims the state's schools have become more active
in pushing homosexuality with students, pointing to an April 30 event at
Brookline High School.
Sponsored by the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network, the event, said the
Article 8 Alliance, featured a "hard-core pornographic homosexual 'how-to'
booklet given to hundreds of kids."
The booklet, entitled "The Little Black Book ? Queer in the 21st Century,"
contains what the activist group calls "deadly misinformation on health."
Included in the booklet are graphic descriptions of homosexual conduct,
including "fisting," along with a photo-spread discussion of condoms and
instructions on how to put them on.
Also included is a list of homosexual bars and clubs in the Boston area "for
the discerning queerboy." The Article 8 Alliance points out the students
attending the event were of middle-school and high-school age.

Unfortunately, the allegations were not lies... GLSEN's statement is
online. This is one of those mistakes that will cost much in terms
of the fear and the insistence by the far right that gays want to
*recruit* children.

Recent allegations from the far right on the one-year anniversary of
same sex marriage about the 2005 GLSEN Boston Conference-
a correction Boston, MA (May 18, 2005)
GLSEN Boston takes its conference and all the work it does on
creating respect for all in schools very seriously. We know it leads
to safer schools and safer students.
The Boston Chapter of the Gay, Lesbian, & Straight Education
Network, GLSEN Boston, wants to assure everyone that for the
last several years GLSEN Boston maintained and enforced a
comprehensive policy that no sexually explicit materials will be
available at the conference. We assign monitors to every
workshop to assure that all policies are strictly enforced. Our
standards are very high, and we work hard to ensure that the
material made available to students is appropriate.
While we have worked tirelessly to reduce anti-LGBT name-
calling, bulllying and harassment, we learned this morning
(May 18. 2005) from the Fenway Community Health Center that
a small number of copies of the HIV prevention pamphlet were
available on their vendor table. This is new information that
contradicts what we knew yesterday.
What happened at our conference was a complete breach of
protocol. We were not aware that the material was there. The
Fenway Community Health Center has apologized for this
breach and has instituted additional training to ensure it never
happens again.
I can assure that at GLSEN Boston we will re-double our
efforts to make sure that not only our material, but the material
brought in by other organizations is age appropriate. Again,
we are deeply sorry. We regret the fear it has resurrected.

C'mon now. For HIGH schoolers? Lots of them are already doing
what the publication described (and it's not 'hard-core
pornography' no more than a medical book on sex is). You
mean that kids 16, 17, and 18 shouldn't be able to find out
about this stuff from sound authority?
This is GLSEN rolling over and playing dead to the political
right. For sex ed of any kind to be effective, it's got to
explicitly describe *how to* do something (like use condoms)
correctly, and describe sexual practices (like high risk ones
for transmission of STDs). Just mouthing vague-isms won't
work.
They should stand up and fight instead of just giving up.

I don't know about Boston, but I know that non-drinking age
students can get into gay bars in some places; they just can't
drink alcohol. So even this might not be describing an activity
which the youngsters aren't already doing.

I agree, but the fact is that having made this kind of mistake will
cost them because people are afraid *and* believe that their children
*can* be recruited.
I don't really understand that.
My question to those who are scared is did they choose to be straight?
I certainly made no such choice. My attractions happened and were
not chosen at all.

Taking GLSEN at their word -- and I do, as it would be quite stupid of them

In part because I personally do not define "the inadvertent presence
of a pamphlet intended for older audiences merely lying on a vendor's
table during an extra-ccurricular event which no student was required
to attend" as being an example of "being taught in schools".

Why would any straight person hand out such trash?
Are you a homo or something?
How can that be -- you agree with "jack's" lie that I am in an
interracial marriage?
It's one or the other, are you a gay, or are you married to a black woman?

Because a small number of pamphlets were available in contradiction of

It most certainly is indoctrination.
By what definition?
By my definition.
And no matter that it appears to be in contradiction to the normally
accepted one?
If you're going to use these hater definitions, it'd help if you let
us know...
Roger, why do you try to excuse these degenerate sodomites?
What proof do you offer that the people who gave out these flyers were
gay?

Ah -- so you *have* none.
So noted.

LOL -- and those are the only two options?
Keep pretending you know *anything at all* about my private life,

The "Gay-Straight" Alliance, as its name suggests, has both gay and
straight members.
Presumably they do not think it is "trash", any more than you think
your racist rantings are "trash".

You're just a shitty little sexuo-phobe, you freak.
You're frightened you'll be turned on by an erect penis.
Actually everyone is sexually stimulated by genitals of BOTH sexes,
as is proven by the popularity of video gang-bang porn.

"The Little Black Book" was distributed to teenagers during a Gay, Lesbian,
and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) event on the campus of Brookline
High School on April 30, 2005.
"The Little Black Book" describes various gay sex acts including
watersports, fisting, oral sex, ingesting body fluids, rimming, mutual
masturbation, etc., in explicit language.
The booklet tells teens that they have three "sexual rights and
responsibilities" including: "You have the right to enjoy sex without shame
or stigma! You have the right to safer sex materials that speak to your
desires! You have the right to take action for your community! Be heard,
you are the expert!"
