when people ask for proof that the Religious Right hates this country, it's
people, religious freedom, and the Constitution, I can post this.

How can you say that? The left doesn't advocate killing their political
opposition. The left tolerates differences of opinion. Atheists aren't out to
impose their lack of faith on the faithful or make them live in ways that go
against their faith.
It's the religious right, without acknowledging even to themselves that they're

i know plenty of people in the religious right. none of them want to DEMAND
that people live by their morals
but everybody injects morals into politics to some extent. and religion
the history of the abolition movement, the temperance movement, the suffrage
movement, and the civil rights movement, and the anti-death penalty movement
are filled with people who want to impose their morals into the law, and
their religion has motivated their actions time and time again, MLK being a
recent example.
it's only when we DISAGREE with the morals, that this offends us. as barak
obama et al rightly point out - civil rights is a moral issue, poverty is a
moral issue, voting rights is a moral issue, etc.

The article was about children taunting each other and that escalated
into the pro-Bush kid getting beaten with a bat. Al's example is three
17-year-olds, two of whom supported Kerry, and that's the best he could
come up with as evidence of systemic advocation of violence by

If Al had any perspective on the issue, his head would implode with

when people ask for proof that the Religious Right hates this country,

Wrong again. It is the atheists on the left that hate this country.

How can you say that? The left doesn't advocate killing their political
opposition. The left tolerates differences of opinion.

Wake up *****. Lefties are violent:
http://www.twincities.com/mld/pioneerpress/10140329.htm?1c

Learn to read, *****. I never said the left didn't have extremists. But
that's it -- with the left, it's *only* the extremists who advocate political
violence. That attitude *permeates* the mainstream right these days.
Jim

Atheists aren't out to
impose their lack of faith on the faithful or make them live in ways that go
against their faith.

It's the religious right, without acknowledging even to themselves that
they're
a minority (however noisy), who are chasing people out of the Republican
party
with their arrogance and intolerance. It's the religious right who *demand*
that the rest of the country live according to their morals.

The America *we* love is inclusive and recognizes the danger of majority
tyranny. I think most Republicans remember that America too.

Yea, atheists hate this country together with all those that go to church
and dance and play music, they are leftists and Rinos that should be
beheaded and left to rot as an example for the rest of them.

I refer specifically to the people who are working toward a goal of
Christianizing this country's government. We are a secular country and these
people just don't seem to get it.

heck, i'll define
the RR is comprised of people who are people of faith (not limited to
christianity obviously) and whose faith, beliefs, and visions lead them to
side with the right side of the political spectrum. they also tend to
believe that there is nothing wrong with incorporating one's religious
vision into one's political vision (like martin luther king did, i might
note).
