Indian boys are taught a big lesson in this.
I am sure there will be an appeal and there are good chances that the
boy will be cleared.

The newspaper headlines in India today are awash with a 7 year RI
sentence in a record breaking fast track judgement.
A case of rape.
An Indian MBA student, befriends a German tourist in an embassy in
Delhi, who travels with him to Alwar, checks into a hotel together for
night stay, they have sex, after dinner.
She cries "rape" - (how ?) - through an sms of course! to a friend in
Germany.
The message trickles back to country through the proper channels.
The guy is arrested for rape ! In 16 days flat he is awarded a 7 year
RI sentence.
The media bytes are even better and the matter even juicier for the
crowds in the galleries because the MBA student is also the son of the
DGP of Orissa.
And these are times of Jessica, Salman, - so how can a judge in sleepy
Alwar resist it.
Where is he arrested ?
While travelling back to Delhi with the victim in a train of course.
The guy is 22 and the woman 26 - an international traveller presumably.
Womens groups in India are hailing and celebrating the landmark
judgement !
They ought to - this has just opened up one more "professional"
opportunities for women in the battle of the sexes. They know whats
written inside there for them.
If the above does not fit into the definition of "consensual sex" then
what does.
I want to know "What if the guy sent an sms to Orissa - saying he was
being raped."
Can happen right ?
Must be happening every now and then. And also happening for numerous
husbands every night.
---
The Rajasthan government makes a tidy living out of tourism.
This judgement was important for the PR exercise - what if we have to
send an innocent Indian guy to jail for the revenues at stake.
---
If you feel strongly about this, pass this around because we can get
some public jury acting on matters where fat judges will fail us.
There are more serious matters where not only fat judges but fat police
officers, IAS officers, Politiciand, Moneybags, Bosses of Education,
and such fail Indian Soceity in preference to their petty interests.
Only hope for Indian Society to get out of morass lies in these
wortheis not only stepping on each others' toes but going for each
others' throats.
